More Tools in a Compact Machine
Compact Multi-Tasking Machine
Reduces setup workload for high-mix production and saves space.
A new model in the SPEEDIO series designed to handle a wide range of workpieces.
Challenges of machining a wide range of workpieces at production sites
-
Frequent workpiece changes result in time-consuming tool changes -
Machines tend to become larger when higher tool capacity is required
M300Xd2-64T solves the challenges of high-mix small-lot production sites.
A newly developed
64-tool magazine dramatically
reduces setup workload
for high-mix production.
With a capacity of up to 64 tools, the M300Xd2-64T allows the tools required for a wide range of workpieces to be loaded in advance, reducing the time and effort required for tool changes. Spare tools can also be loaded, helping reduce setup workload and improve productivity.

Dramatic cut in tool change time
Tool transfer from tool stocker to turret magazine takes as little as 6 seconds. A complete tool replacement takes only about 90 seconds. These features dramatically reduce tool change time compared with manual replacement.
The 64-tool magazine facilitates process integration of turning and milling
By internally housing all the tools required for diverse machining processes —from turning to milling—it enables seamless process integration.
Benefits of process integration
Combines turning and milling in one unit, reducing workpiece handling time One-time chucking minimizes mounting errors, improving machining accuracy

One-time chucking cuts handling time and improves machining accuracy
Greater tool capacity supports automation integration
By storing the tools required for multiple machining operations, the machine supports long periods of continuous operation when integrated with automation systems.
The tool stocker management function automatically replaces tools at the end of their service lives with spares. This minimizes downtime caused by tool life, supporting consistent, long-run automated operations.
The tool stocker management function makes tool management easier
A function for managing the 64-tool magazine has been added to the ATC tool app. This offers intuitive tool changes, and tools used in machining programs can also be delivered in batches from the tool stockers to the turret magazine.
Achieves a compact design while delivering BT40-class tool storage capacity
The M300Xd2-64T can be installed in a much smaller space than BT40 machines with comparable tool storage. Despite its compact footprint, it provides ample tool capacity for building space-saving production lines.

Product Features

Wide spindle lineup for diverse workpieces
- Spindle lineup
- Standard spindle: 12,000 min⁻¹ / 10,000 min⁻¹ high-torque specification / 20,000 min⁻¹ / 27,000 min⁻¹
10,000 min⁻¹ high-torque specification
Achieves highly efficient steel machining with high-torque specification reaching a max. torque of 92 N·m. The 10,000 min⁻¹ high-torque specification (optional) features a new, enlarged spindle bearing diameter for higher spindle rigidity.
The oscillating cutting function breaks up chips, reducing machining defects
Oscillating cutting function (optional)
This function vibrates the axis in the cutting direction and synchronously controls this vibration with the rotation of the turning spindle. By creating air cuts during machining, it enables intermittent cutting and breaks up chips.
Achieves stable production through excellent chip evacuation and defect prevention functions
Base shape with excellent chip evacuation
In addition to the conventional center trough structure, the base shape has been redesigned to prevent chips from accumulating. The base is sloped from back to front, and the chip shower piping has been optimized, resulting in a significant improvement in chip evacuation compared to previous models.
Machining load monitoring
(spindle/turning spindle)
Machining load applied to the spindle/turning spindle is monitored to issue an alarm when the load is not within the preset range.

Machine structure designed to facilitate setup, easing the load on operators
Accessibility and workability
The jig or workpiece can be tilted toward the operator, which enables operators to perform setup, including workpiece change, effortlessly.
Swivel-type operation panel
Comes equipped with standard swivel-type operation panel and side door. Features a highly accessible cover design. This also improves visibility from the side.
