Reliable Benefits of
High Speed
Stability
Energy Saving
SPEEDIO's best-selling S series
provides high speed,
outstanding
energy efficiency,
and functions to
prevent thermal distortion and
detect stuck chips.
We confidently
recommend this model for
customers in any industry.
S Series Lineup
The S series offers an extensive range
of sizes, magazine specifications,
and spindle specifications to
meet diverse machining applications.
Simultaneous 5-axis/100-tool
magazine spec. available
Each and every
operation is
performed
at high speed,
reducing cycle time.
High speed is maintained
even with heavy tools.
Machine performance is maximized, and
every operation is
performed at high
speed using our original NC control
(machine/controller integrated
development).
By optimizing spindle
acceleration/deceleration and
magazine
operation, we achieve high-speed tool
changes.
SPEEDIO maintains tool
change speed even with heavy tools.

Equipped with a function
that automatically detects
stuck chips,
washes, and
then retries as standard.
Stable production is
achieved
by reducing
machining defects.
The S series is equipped with a "stuck
chip detection function" as standard.
Machining defects are prevented by
detecting the stuck chips
that caught
between the spindle and the holder
during ATC.
Troublesome short-period stoppages can
also
be reduced by automatically
cleaning and retrying.
Significantly reduced
running costs with
high energy-saving
performance using
SPEEDIO
Blue Technology.
Power consumption is lowered by
employing
a power regeneration system
and high-efficiency spindle motor.
Air consumption has also been reduced
by optimizing air-related functions.
This reduces running costs, contributing
to environmentally-friendly
manufacturing.
Low power consumption,
high energy-saving performance
The S500Xd2 reduces power consumption by
30% and
air consumption by 70% compared to
competitors' BT30 machines.
Total power
consumption has been reduced by 46%.

Cut running costs and generate profit
Energy consumption can be reduced by the
introduction of highly efficient equipment,
which can lower running costs.

Product Features
Machining support without
warmup
that minimizes
machining errors caused
by thermal distortion
Brother’s proprietary technology ensures a
machine structure that minimizes thermal
distortion.
Also equipped with an original
measurement processing function that reduces
the number of actual measurements by a touch
probe according to the size of displacement.
This eliminates the need for warmup operation,
minimizing effects on productivity to achieve
highly accurate machining.
Newly developed 100-tool
magazine achieves
space
saving and
high productivity
A tool stocker that can store 36 tools is
installed on the right and left sides of the
28-tool turret magazine,
enabling storage of
100 tools, the largest capacity in the SPEEDIO
series.
Brother’s original tool handling
mechanism achieves stable tool change.

High-speed, high-accuracy simultaneous 5-axis machining
Equipped with a variety of functions such as
tool center point control and submicron
command to
realize high-speed, high-accuracy simultaneous 5-axis machining.
Tool center point control
Equipped with tool center point control where machining is performed by changing the tool direction relative to the workpiece.
Optimal acceleration/deceleration by look-ahead up to 1,000 blocks achieves simultaneous 5-axis machining.
Processing speed of minute
line segments
The CPU capacity has been greatly increased to enhance the processing speed of minute line segments by four times the previous controller. This enables high-speed processing of CAM data with small tolerance.
Productivity improvement
-
In addition to the compactness of the BT30, the original look-ahead acceleration/deceleration processing maximizes the machine's performance (max. speed and acceleration) to achieve high-speed simultaneous 5-axis machining.
